We recently heard from Andrew Griffin, who played viola with PYSO from 2003 to 2004. Andrew is currently playing viola for the new Broadway musical Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations.

Andrew wrote in to tell us about some of his favorite PYSO memories, and the difference PYSO has made in his life. When asked what one of his favorite memories from PYSO is, he wrote “Playing Michael Daughtery’s Route 66, because it was a jam!” adding, “[I] recently connected with several viola alumni from my year who have all made their way to New York. Proud to say we are all enjoying successful careers in music and cherish our Pittsburgh bond, memories, and friendships with each other.”

Many thanks to Andrew Griffin for the submission!
