Drew Griffin (PYSO/Viola 2003-04) is grateful to share news that he won the viola chair on the Broadway national tour of Les Miserables!! He’s looking forward to working with their incredible cast and crew in the coming year!


TJ Wible (PYSO/Flute 2002-05), Kelly Mozeik (PYSO/Oboe 2006-08) and Eleanor Lee (PYSO/Cello 2007-11) are all part The Orchestra Now (TŌN is a three-year, tuition-free, masters-degree program at Bard College). Pictured to the right are TJ, Kelly and Eleanor, along with Daniel Salera (PYSO/Horn 2009-10) a frequent sub for The Orchestra Now. TŌN recently featured Ms. Mozeik in a video interview.



Earlier this December current PYSO cellist Will Ren and his family enjoyed a fantastic concert at the beautiful Clarice SmithPerforming Arts Center of University of Maryland. Will’s sister, Olivia Ren (PYSO/Violin 2007-11), currently pursuing a Master Degree for Violin Performance at the University of Maryland School of Music, played with the University of Maryland Symphony Orchestra on December in a program that included Sinfonia da requiem by Britten, Rhapsody on a Theme of Pananini by Rachmaninoff, and Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov.

Omri Barak (PYSO/Trumpet 2013-2016) recently won an audition and was offered tenure track for principal trumpet of the Allentown Symphony Orchestra. In his last season with PYSO, as winner of the PYSO Concerto Competition, Omri performed the Tomasi Trumpet Concerto at Heinz Hall with PYSO in May of 2016.  Check out the recording of his performance and hear the many reasons ASO offered him the job!
