Sunday night, , marked the first rehearsal of the 2022-2023 season, and we couldn’t be more excited! After student orientation, the orchestra was off to work preparing for our November 20th concert at Heinz Hall.
The orchestra began working on Suite No. 2 of Prokoviev’s Romeo and Juliet, Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8, and Samuel Coleridge- Taylor’s Ballade for Orchestra.
During the break Maestro Joyce led a round of PYSO bingo, a fun stakes game that tested the musician’s knowledge of all things Orchestra.
It was such a joy to see everyone last night, returning students, new students, and parents. This season is off to a great start!
