The Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 1 Orchestra graced the Heinz Hall stage on Saturday, January 21 with an impressive showing of over 140 talented students from Pittsburgh area schools and 27 of these talented and dedicated musicians are also in PYSO! Guest Conductor, Larry Livingston led the musicians in inspired renditions of Verdi’s Nabucco Overture , Berlioz’ Hungarian March, and excerpts from Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.

Thank you to PMEA and school music teachers for continuing to foster our young musicians… thank you to Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestras for hosting the afternoon… and thank you to our PYSO members for sharing their passion of music!
