North Allegheny Senior High recently announced the winners of three awards they give out every year for the orchestra graduating students. This year the winners selected among approximately 100 seniors are ALL PYSO members! Read below to hear about the awards and their recipients. 

Musicianship Award: Carolyn Carr

The Musicianship Award is the Orchestra Director’s award which goes to somebody who is really active in PMEA events, etc. and has excellent musicianship.

Golden Strolling Strings Scholarship: Ashley Chung

The Strolling Strings Scholarship is sponsored by the Orchestra Parents Association and given to someone who demonstrates great leadership in the orchestra program. It is a $500 scholarship and the recipient is chosen by a panel of judges.

Christine Loverti Orchestra Scholarship: Futen Wang 

The Christine Loverti Scholarship is established in memory of Mrs. Loverti who built up NA orchestra program years ago. It is given to a student striving for excellence, dedication, and hardworking efforts into music. It is a $1,000 scholarship and the recipient is also chosen by a panel of judges.
